Seiko Kinetic Auto Relay with biomorphic case form the year 2000. The watch showcases a biomorphic stainless steel case with smooth, flowing contours and a polished finish, seamlessly integrating with its bracelet.

The black dial features applied indices and bold numeral markers at 6, 9, and 12, paired with luminescent-filled hands for added contrast. A recessed date window is positioned at 3 o’clock, adding symmetry to the design.

The bezel is sculpted with fluid cutouts, complementing the organic shape of the case while enhancing its dimensionality.

The integrated stainless steel bracelet continues the biomorphic theme, with rounded, polished links that taper slightly for a cohesive and streamlined look.

Seiko introduced the Kinetic technology and watches in 1988. It was a pioneering innovation in the watch industry, combining quartz accuracy with the self-sustaining aspects of automatic movements.

If the watch is left unused for 3 days, the hands stop automatically to conserve the stored electric energy.

Though the hands stop, the builtin IC continues to keep the time. To use the watch again, swinging it several times will awaken it. The hands will move quickly to indicate the current time, and resume normal operation.
